1. Cleaning: Disassemble the bearing, record the appearance, and confirm the remaining amount of lubricant. Clean the bearings with cleaning agents such as gasoline or kerosene. Pay attention to protecting the bearings from direct contact with dirt in the container, and avoid damaging the rolling surfaces of the bearings during rough cleaning.
2. Maintenance: Check the condition of the raceway surface, rolling surface, and mating surface of the bearing, the wear of the cage, and the damage caused by the increase in bearing clearance and the decrease in dimensional accuracy. Non separable ball bearings can support the inner ring horizontally with one hand and rotate the outer ring to check for smoothness.
3. Oil bath lubrication: Soak a part of the bearing in the oil groove, and the lubricating oil is carried by the rotating bearing parts and then flows back to the oil groove. The oil level should be slightly lower than the center of the lowest rolling element.
4. Drip lubrication: Use an oil pump to deliver filtered oil to the bearing components, with a recommended drop of oil every 3-8 seconds. Excessive oil volume will cause an increase in bearing temperature.
5. Circulating oil lubrication: Use an oil pump to deliver filtered oil to the bearing components, and filter and cool the lubricating oil after passing through the bearings before use. This method is applicable to bearing components with high rotational speeds.
6. spray lubrication: dry compressed air is mixed with lubricating oil through a spray to form an oil mist. In the spray bearing, the air flow can effectively cool the bearing and prevent impurities from entering. This method is suitable for lubrication of high-speed and high-temperature bearing components.
7. Spray lubrication: Use an oil pump to spray high-pressure oil into the bearing through a nozzle, and the oil injected into the bearing flows into the oil groove through the other end of the bearing. When the bearing rotates at high speed, the rolling elements and the cage also generate airflow at a considerable rotational speed, making it difficult to deliver lubricating oil to the bearing using conventional lubrication methods. In this case, high-pressure spraying must be used to spray lubricating oil into the bearing, and the nozzle should be placed between the inner ring and the center of the cage. After completing these steps, the bearings can be effectively lubricated and maintained.
